This session will focus on how AI can improve university systems, operations, and teaching while addressing equity and ethical concerns.

Universities across the Commonwealth are operating in an increasingly demanding environment-rising student expectations, constrained resources, growing competition, and accelerating digital change. Artificial intelligence is emerging as one of the most powerful tools available to help institutions modernise their systems, improve productivity and remain relevant in a fast-moving global landscape.

This ACU webinar will showcase how universities are already using AI to drive practical, institution-wide transformation. From automating administrative processes and improving data management, to strengthening student services, advising, admissions and learning support, AI is enabling universities to do more with less, freeing up staff time, reducing costs and improving the quality and responsiveness of services.

Speakers will share real examples from ACU member institutions where AI tools and platforms are being used to streamline workflows, support staff decision-making, personalise the student experience and enhance teaching and learning. These innovations are helping universities operate more efficiently while improving outcomes for both staff and students.

As the second event in ACU’s AI and higher education series, this webinar forms part of ACU’s commitment to supporting members through rapid digital change. The session will also feed directly into ACU’s engagement with Commonwealth Heads of Government at CHOGM in Antigua later this year, ensuring that the practical experience of universities informs how AI is understood and supported at the highest policy level.

Join us to explore how AI can help your institution:

  • Modernise administrative and academic systems
  • Improve student support, advising and engagement
  • Increase efficiency and reduce operational pressure
  • Strengthen teaching, learning and institutional agility

This is a practical, forward-looking session for university leaders, professional services teams, and academic staff from across the Commonwealth looking to make AI work for their institution, not just in theory, but in everyday operations.
