Dr Beate Knight, our Head of Programmes, will be attending the Conference of Rectors and Vice Chancellors in Windhoek, Namibia this week, from 4 to 6 July. She's looking forward to meeting and talking to ACU members who are attending.

Beate will be presenting at a parallel session on 6 July from 12:30 to 13:30, titled: Supporting excellence and equity in international research partnerships.

40 students from ACU member universities have now arrived in South Africa at Stellenbosch University, our hosts for this year's ACU Summer School.

Over the course of the week they will build new cross-Commonwealth friendships while learning about the political, social and economic forces that shaped 20th Century South Africa. As well as exploring these issues in the classroom, students will take trips to historically and culturally significant sites, such as Robben Island and the Cape of Good Hope.

The Martha Farrell Memorial Fellowship offers anti-sexual harassment training to two ACU members at universities in Africa and Asia.

Fellows will receive access to the training programme and follow-up support from the Martha Farrell Foundation. In addition, each fellow will receive a grant of GBP 1,000 to support their project.

The Routledge/Round Table Commonwealth Studentships provide support for research projects on Commonwealth-related themes.

Two studentships are available each year of up to GBP 5,500 each.
